Love the laptop
I bought this laptop to substitute my older laptop which is now showing signs of age. I like the 1080p resolution of the screen and use this laptop to play Blu-ray discs and watch Netflix streaming. I also connect this to my bedroom TV through the HDMI output port. I am loving the laptop thus far.

Thanks to a new patent-pending gimbal mechanism, known as Controlled Dispersion Technology (CDT), both the high and low frequencies of the CDT-2650-C can be directed towards the listening area. Because the tweeter is independently adjustable from the woofer, this speaker offers even more precise localization. The CDT-2650-C features a 1-inch silk tweeter mated to a swiveling 100-degree Tractrix Horn. This swiveling horn design dramatically increases efficiency by enabling the speaker to produce more output using less energy. Additionally, a horn-loaded tweeter works well in instances where you want to point the sound to a specific location because it has more controlled directivity than a conventional dome tweeter. The speaker’s 6.5-inch polymer woofer also has great positioning capabilities. It can rotate a full 360 degrees and then shift 15 degrees in any direction. This flexibility combined with the swiveling tweeter puts you in complete control of where the sound will go. Available in a white finish, the paintable CDT-2650-C can be paired with the Klipsch IK-650-C installation kit (sold separately). This revolutionary kit design incorporates a mud ring, breakaway wire tie and color-coded brackets for easy speaker size identification. It also includes perforated metal wings that easily fasten to the studs via screws, staples or nails. Painted white for easy marking and placement, these metal wings can be folded around the edge of the studs if necessary.

Customer Reviews:
Polk audio… awesome speakers!
You could tell a lot about a product just by seeing the type of packaging it came in. But for Polk Audio, the name alone tells you it’s a great product. They were easy to install, came with all the necessary hardware, look great, and most importantly, sound excelent. Crisp, smooth highs and natural sounding mids & vocals even when pushed hard. Bottom line, great sounding speakers at a great price!
Great speakers!
About 3 months ago, I decided that I’d had enough of my factory car speakers in my 2008 Toyota Prius. I haven’t replaced speakers in my cars for years so I didn’t want to do the whole rewiring/amp/equalizer/etc deal. I simply wanted to replace the stock speakers with better ones. After a couple of weeks of research, I chose these over Boston Acoustics, Pioneer and Infinity because of the sensitivity rating and price.
Before I get on with how great these are, let me explain how bad the old ones were. The stock speakers suffered bad “motorboating”…you know, when a bass heavy piece of music causes the speakers to make a fluttering sound like a motorboat engine. This was a daily occurence, even with the base kicked down two pips. I also had to kick the treble up two pips. Still, the treble was severe. Songs like Alanis Morisette’s “Citizen of the Planet” were almost impossible to listen to because the lows were too quiet and the parts where the bass kicked in overpowered the speakers immediately. Once I pulled the stock speakers out, it was evident why they sounded so terrible. The magnets on them were slightly less than an inch in diameter and I couldn’t find anything that would actually stick to them.
okay, back to the polk audio’s. Installation went pretty easy. I did have to make my own mounting brackets from mdf to fit in the huge holes that Toyota has in it’s doors. The tweeters fit nicely in the same place as the stock tweeters were. After the install, I was able to put the treble and bass back to flat. Initially, the bass seemed to be a little week and I was concerned that I would have to put an amp in to correct it. After about a month though, it seemed like the speakers started to loosen up. Now, the sound is great. I know I don’t need an amp, at least not with this radio. I’m enjoying hearing new things in my music that I’d not heard before because the previous speakers couldn’t reproduce it. One note of caution though….as a regular podcast listener, I happened to be listening to a podcast that, at one point, had a car horn honk. It sounded realistic enough that it caused me to swerve to avoid the imaginary car that was approaching on the right!
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend these speakers to anyone!
Perfect
I installed these as a part of the first car audio upgrade I have done since I was in the 10th grade (10 years ago). I wasn’t even going to bother with a car audio upgrade unless it could play on the same field as my home stereo. The home stereo is a pair of Polk Monitor 70s, a Denon receiver, and a Martin Logan Dynamo sub. Obviously a tall order.
Powered by an Alpine MRP-F600 amp, these speakers produce excellent, clear sound at any volume. From the inhale of a vocalist to a loud trumpet, at social listening volume to beyond ear-damaging levels, these speakers reproduce the source faithfully.
Installation note: The speaker adapter brackets have a lot of tabs on them to fit a variety of factory mounting points. In some installations you will need to remove the extra tabs so they don’t interfere with the door panel. THESE TABS EASILY SNAP OFF BY HAND! I was a dope and didn’t realize this at first, so instead of snapping the tabs off I spent 20 minutes making a mess cutting them off with a Dremel. =D

Marine Certified
Polk db Series speakers are built tough to withstand the toughest environments so they are perfect for use in boats of all types. That’s why Correct Craft offers Polk Audio speakers in their award-winning Nautiques ski and wakeboarding boats.
Tweeters
The 25mm liquid-cooled silk/polymer composite dome tweeter with neodymium magnet provide clear, detailed highs.
Flush and surface mount swivel cups allow placement flexibility for soundstage optimization in your vehicle.
Mid/Woofers
The 6.5-inch woofers feature a dynamic balance polymer/mica composite mineral-filled cone, which is stiff yet lightweight, for big sound with little distortion. The butyl rubber surround won’t fall apart under the stress of extreme temperatures, sunlight or time, for years of the great Polk sound.
The woofer’s low-mass, two-layer 25mm Kapton voice coil former ensures high power handling and great reliability. Although Katpon handles plenty of heat, a pole plate heat sink promotes better heat dissipation.
A flat spider provides faster, longer excursion linear motion, and the flexible woven leads are sewn directly into Spider for greater reliability.
Finally, the backbone–a rock solid, acoustically inert stamped steel basket finished in rustproof Gun Metal Gray.
Installation
The supplied adaptor rings enable the db6501 to fit both 6-1/2-inch and 6-3/4-inch applications, ensuring an easy fit in everything from domestics to imports including VWs and Audis, BMWs and other European imports.
The tough-looking ABS Grilles are computer optimized and based on exclusive MOMO designs, and stainless steel mounting hardware is included.
Crossover
The 2nd-order Butterworth outboard crossover helps get you component system sound at a coaxial price. Electronic tweeter protection keeps your tweeters from accidental abuse for reliable, high-output sound, and the vented crossover housing gives you a choice of hidden wire channels for easier, more professional-looking installs.

Customer Reviews:
great ride
My husband and I recently bought a 5th wheel. The ride was anything but peaceful. Then we bought the load lifter and our last trip was sooooo much nicer. We both agree this was a great investment.
Great on my 1994 F-350
Bought these air bags in April of 2009 for $215 and installed them on my 1994 F-350 4X4 pickup. I previously installed a 4″ suspension lift without replacing the rear leaf springs (just used the add-a-leaf) which left me with a sagging rear end. I bought these air bags hoping to lift the rear of the truck therefore leveling it out. They installed fairly easily to the top overload spring, the only tricky part was drilling the frame correctly and after filling them with approx. 50lbs. of air, they lifted the rear end a good three inches which solved my problem and leveled my truck. Great product!
Great Product
I put these on my Dodge 2500 Diesel because I have a truck camper that weighs 2600 lb. wet. I took out the factory overload springs and installed the Airlift airbags. They work as described. They handle the load very well and make driving my truck with my camper a lot easier. They really helped with the sway I was getting without the Airlift bags. I would recommend to anyone looking for a way to stabilize a load on their truck . Installation was easy, but I used to be a auto technician. Hardest part was getting everything lined up and measured before I drilled the holes. Directions were pretty good. Kit included everything the directions said it should have.I had to modify my installation due to other after market accessories (gooseneck hitch and a flatbed) that were installed. I looked at other brands of airbags and for the money the Airlifts were the best quality and value.
From the Manufacturer
Air Lift adjustable air helper springs level your load, and give your truck, van, or SUV a safer, more comfortable ride. Air springs are easy to install between your existing springs and the vehicle frame. Just add air when towing or hauling a heavy load, and reduce air pressure when unloaded; they are fully adjustable for a great ride. Air Lift air springs eliminate sag, sway, and bottoming out. They are made with rugged, durable components for long, reliable service.
LoadLifter 5000 kits are Air Lift’s heaviest-rated kits for hauling or towing heavy loads. They’re designed to fit such popular vehicles as ¾ ton and one-ton pickup trucks, many Class A, B & C motor homes, and commercial trucks and other severe uses.
Application Information
This LoadLifter 5000 kit, number 57215, fits many different pickup applications. Always use the Part Finder to check that the kit fits your vehicle. This kit can be easily installed in around 2 hours.
LoadLifter 5000
Fully adjustable, LoadLifter 5000 kits have real air muscle, and keep your vehicle riding level and comfortable with no load, loaded, or towing on any road condition. Air Lift’s toughest air helper springs, they have up to 5,000 pounds of leveling capacity, right up to the manufacturer’s recommended Gross Vehicle Weight Rating, and are air adjustable from 5 to 100 PSI. Rugged and durable, the superior 2-ply fabric reinforced air springs are built like a tire. Ultra high-strength Zytel nylon end caps – strong as steel, but less heavy, and corrosion proof – complete the air springs. Your kit will also include Air Lift’s exclusive upper and lower roll plates that increase load capacity by 10 percent and protect the air spring from sharp edges such as brackets, etc. All kits are engineered to be easy to install and come with a fully illustrated instruction manual.
Why Air?
Factory suspensions must compromise between ride comfort and load hauling capacity. Soft factory suspensions can’t carry heavy loads, and heavy steel springs ride rough, especially when the vehicle is unloaded. Only air springs can support your heavy loads and provide a great ride. Air Lift adjustable air springs solve these common problems by allowing you to tune your suspension under all load and road conditions. Just add air when towing or hauling and then remove air for a softer ride when unloaded.
Eliminate these common load and towing problems for good when you use Air Lift air springs:
Sag – Proper weight distribution to all tires improves steering, braking and tire wear. This is especially important while towing: adjust the air springs to accept the tongue weight of the trailer or other heavy loads.
Headlight aim – Only level and stable vehicles provide safe and proper headlight aiming – critical for night driving safety.
Rough ride – Air Lift’s progressive spring rate soaks up bumps, keeping tires on the road for better handling.
Bottoming out – Air Lift springs restore normal ride height when heavily loaded or towing, reducing suspension wear and eliminating crashing on bumps.
Sway and body roll – Air springs increase spring rate and vastly improve vehicle stability. When towing trailers, the air springs permit precise vehicle height adjustment for exact alignment, reducing trailer sway. Less roll and sway means a safer and more comfortable ride.
Porpoising – Even heavy pickups which don’t squat when loaded can begin to “porpoise” vertically when towing heavy trailers. Progressive rate air springs dramatically reduce this problem for a safer, more comfortable ride.
Suggested Accessories
For maximum convenience and leveling on-the-go, nothing beats an Air Lift on board air compressor system. Automatic or dash-mounted, it quickly adjusts your vehicle for changes in load or road conditions. Air Lift compressor systems are the most advanced in the industry and work with all brands of air springs.
Best Warranty in the Business
Air Lift Company warrants that the LoadLifter 5000 air spring system will be free from defects in workmanship or materials for the lifetime of the vehicle of original installation. This does not include installation or other service charges for replacement.
Exclusive 60 Day Ride Satisfaction Guarantee
Air Lift guarantees you’ll be happy with the improvement in road comfort and load handling. If you’re not satisfied, you may remove the product and return it to your dealer for a full refund of your purchase price within the first 60 days after your purchase.
Air Suspension Solutions that Fit, Work and Last
Air Lift Company has been developing air spring suspension products for almost 60 years. The versatility of Air Lift air springs was proven during the early years of stock car racing. Air Lift products were used by most of the stock car racing teams for twenty years and the sponsored cars were among the toughest competitors on the NASCAR Grand National Circuit.
Today, Air Lift has won more SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) awards for air spring development products than any other company. Air Lift products are sold throughout the world and can be engineered to fit almost any coil or leaf spring suspension. The extensive product line includes everything from air helper springs for cars, vans and trucks to full air suspension replacement and control systems for recreational vehicles, emergency vehicles, hot rods and lowered performance vehicles.
Quality and Performance – the Air Lift Difference
As of February 2007, Air Lift Company is proud to be ISO 9001:2000 certified. ISO 9001:2000 applies to organizations which follow rigorous quality standards, and are committed to continuous improvement. Air Lift Company is dedicated to making suspension products that fit, work, and last.

Customer Reviews:
NICE
Anyone unhappy with this unit is nuts or spoiled as hell. Can’t really find a complaint. Fast. Been using for over a month now problem free. Took it out of the box, turned it on, set it up, and started working, and remember saying out loud “I can’t beleive I own this”. Most computer hardware wise for the money I could find. Solid. Only thing that disappointed was that the HP Media Bundle has issues but the Windows programs are reliable. I like to install my own media software anyway so I still give this machine 5 stars.
A Surprisingly Solid PC From HP
I have used the HP Pavilion DV7 for the 17 months now. It was purchased by my company as I would never have considered purchasing such a “cheap” laptop. I only preface with this bit of nerd snobbery so you can know this review is written by someone who hasn’t touched a notebook under $2K for over a decade and has rather high PC performance standards:
In short, this is an AMAZING steal for the price. The technical specs are superior to what you’ll find in the more “elite” market and the performance of this PC is really impressive. In fact, I’m leaving my company and am only on Amazon writing this review as I prepare to purchase another of these models for my personal use…
PROS:
I originally thought I’d only use it for work (aka spreadsheets, etc) but started using it for video watching, gaming, movie burning, etc because it was working so smoothly. I’m a very hard PC user. I don’t like to close applications and am always multi-tasking as in: several Microsoft Excel spreadsheets; a few Word documents; at least one Project file; iTunes playing in the background; Outlook running and checking mail every 15 seconds; Google Chrome open with 7 tabs; and Mozilla Firefox open with 7 more tabs. This PC has performed expertly for a year and never even paused despite my harsh use. As in, no crashes, no hesitation to respond to a click despite aforementioned heavy (ab)use and because it’s worth repeating–no crashes.
CONS:
The only thing I have to report, is after 17 months of solid use, I’ve worn the “E” off (key/hardware works fine) and the “R” is on her way out too!
Although I had no issue with mine, I feel compelled to report that of the 4 PCS my company purchased, one did end up with a fried motherboard. To be fair, that particular employee was prone to visiting…websites of ill-repute…and could have caught himself a virus (ironic) that turned the fans off.
Great product with some glitches
I know that for the price your paying for this computer it isen’t that bad. It only has one fluck that I have experenced and that is that the dislay drive stops responding and immediantly recovers after the screen gos black for a few seconds. It has something to do with the kernel drive 184.66 and I can’t fix it because hp and nvidia haven’t come up with a solution too the problem yet and yes I did a system recovery several times also uninstalling and reinstalling the driver. Other than that I really can’t complain other then that little problem with the display drive. I really dont like the fact that they took out the 500GB (7200RPM) hard drive and replaced it with a 640GB (5400RPM). Overall I give this computer a 4 out of 5.

Best projector I have seen in this price range. I just got the projector and watched a movie on it so far and it is a big step up from my old 2700 lumen DLP projector or any of the projectors we have used at church with the youth group. This projector is a lot brighter and has a much clearer/sharper and more colorful image and the closed captioning impressed the heck out of me watching a video that does not normally have captions. I watched the video with my friend that is deaf so I used the caption feature and it kept up really good and recognized when the person was reading text that was already on the screen so it did not put captions on it. I will try to update my review as I use the projector more and in settings other than just hanging from the ceiling projecting an 80″ picture at my house. All in all, exelant picture quality with great features for a wide variety of events.

Performs Mostly As Advertised I have been using this unit (I paid $240 at Costco) for a couple months now. DVD recording quality of broadcast/cablecast television in it’s 1-hour “XP” mode is excellent. Other modes: (SP) 2-hour, (LP) 4-hour, and (EP) 6-8 hours recording modes are okay, but pixelation and compression artifacts become more obvious, particularly in complicated and/or fast moving scenes. And it’s QAM digital tuner is excellent at recording SD and HD signals if passed through by your cable company. (I use cable, but don’t have a cable box. I just subscribe to basic analog cable, but my cable provider Comcast includes local digital unscrambled channels in this package as well, such as FOX, NBC, CBS, and ABC, something I didn’t realize they did until I bought this digital recorder and an HD TV set).
I love using RAM discs to record TV programming. RAM discs allow you to simultaneously record one program while watching another program already recorded on the disc, if your recorder features “chasing playback,” which this recorder does. This makes watching an evening of television very easy, and being able to skip through all the commercials. And not having to wait for the recorder to finish all the evening’s scheduled recordings before starting to watch. DVD-RW and DVD+RW discs do not allow that feature — only DVD-RAM discs and recordings.
I’d give this unit even higher marks (a 9 or 10) were it not for it’s buggy software driving all of its features. The unit occasionally gets “confused” and locks up — not responding to buttons on unit or on remote control. You have to unplug and re-plugin to reboot the software. (Actually, this newer model now features a small “reset” button on the front of the machine, to reboot the unit.) This happens about once a week. This is only a minor inconvenience (takes about a minute to reboot), and re-powering it does not make it lose any of its stored channels setup or scheduled recordings memory.
The unit (and interestingly two other Panasonic DVD recorders I have) also suffered a problem with recognizing what date it was for a while if left set automatically. I had to set the date manually for a while (a couple weeks). But now automatic date seems to be working again. I suspect some software bug.
The other problem I have occasionally, is that it occasionally fails to record a scheduled program, for no apparent reason (there’s still room on disc). I have not been able to figure out why (although the manual suggests it could be due to digital rights management issues on digital broadcasts, but I’m not convinced of that).
March 2009 Update: Over time, and especially in the last month or so in particular, the machine’s software got buggier and buggier — lots of system freezes, causing me to have to press the “reset” button almost once a week, or more often. Tonight, it finally gave up the ghost — the system has completely crashed, and no resets or re-powering will make it come back online. So, I got about a year’s worth of heavy use from it, which I guess isn’t so bad. There doesn’t seem to be any other DVR out there that gets overall better reviews, with all of Panasonic’s features (especially on the features that are most important to me). So even with all its shortcomings, so I will likely buy another.
What I really want is a set-top combo HD and DVD recorder with digital QAM tuner, but that doesn’t seem to exist anywhere at this point in time. Maybe there’s a way to build one using Windows XP 2005 Media Center Edition and an external digital tuner. I have just such a setup going now, which works great, except with only an 2006 analog-only tuner.
Not yet ready for primetime I’ve had the DMR-EZ485V for several months, and have transferred hundreds of VHS recordings to DVD. That’s the good news.
When the device works, it works as I expected it to, although it seems to have more problems tracking than I wish.
The real issue is the software which, in my opinion, is the worst I’ve ever encountered. This is saying a lot, as I’ve used every version of Windows, including Vista!
Every problem the device has recording, it appears to interpret as a copy protection violation, and turns itself off. It has a “shoot the wounded” design philosophy: Every problem that occurs is fatal. It allows no recovery, does not allow ejection, and always turns itself off. You have to go through 5 or 6 layers of menus to get to common option choices, but the control has keys for lesser used functions. It has “system modal” screens for many functions. For example, if you finalize a DVD recording, only “Ok” is recognized. “Play”, “Drive Select” or any other key is ignored.
My problem right now is that this $280 device failed to record in the middle of a VHS tape to DVD transfer, and now has locked the DVD in the recorder. Nothing works to get it out, including the secret STOP + CHANNELUP combination. It goes into an endless cycle of resets following by turning off.
I expected hardware issues with DVDs, which are still a little temperamental. What I didn’t expect was software so bad that it prevents operation of the device. If you’re looking to buy a VHS->DVD recorder, you would be wise to avoid this one, despite its apparent attractive price and features.
Great Product I did EXTENSIVE research when deciding which DVD/VCR Combo Recorder to buy. I decided on this unit since it had so many features and capabilities. I still don’t know them all after 3 months of ownership. After I bought the 1st one, a month later I bought another identical one for the bedroom! Why? Because it really is that good. It has tons of recording options SP, XP, LP and EP-which gives you a choice of 6 hour and/or 8 hour EP speeds. It also has a handy option of FR (flexible recording) which basically uses the best quality possible for the remaining space on your disc. For example, if you have 2 hours left on your disc and want to record a 1 1/2 hour show/movie, choosing FR will extend the record time to utilize the entire remaining space on the disc, thus giving it the highest quality possible in the space provided. Like any recorder on the market, quality depends on which setting you choose. I’ve been recording all my movies that are saved in my FIOS DVR in the 6-hour EP mode, and the quality is great. And YES, you CAN record shows from your DVR to DVD. When I was doing research some “reviews” for other units said you couldn’t do that because of copyright issues. Not a problem here, HOWEVER I have not yet tried to convert old (store-bought) VHS movies to DVD on this unit. There may be a copyright protection “blocking” issue there, but if there is, I can almost guarantee you that ANY unit will have the same issue. Thank the movie studio lawyers for that. But I HAVE transferred old recordings from VHS to DVD in this unit and it worked great. The quality is only a slight improvement, but that’s only because of the quality of my VHS tapes from the get-go, which were all recorded in 8-hour mode on my old VCR. Are you still with me?! All-in-all this is a great product, and worth every penny. Oh, and a quick footnote: if you decide to buy one, choose the “quick start” option which is discussed in the manual. Otherwise the unit takes awhile to actually turn on (warm up).
